Comfort at my Table

Hello!!
Another place I've seen a lot of my friends try is Comfort at my Table, 23 Cribb St, Milton. It is another perfect place for brunch on the weekend, or weekday if you're one of those lucky people.

I loved the decorations and furnishing inside, another quite girly place but not as much as Tea and Niceties where men would feel uncomfortable in. I saw quite a few guys there looking quite relaxed and happy. There were lots of flowers, some very artsy looking photos and wall stickers (I love wall stickers!!). They were able to balance the decorations out with some simple wooden tables with accompanying Ikea chairs, which could accommodate for big or small groups.
Onto the food! I chose the classic breakfast dish, Eggs Benny with Smoked Salmon (who else loves smoked salmon as much as I do?) It was a pretty nice dish, the only thing I wasn't happy with was my toasted sourdough, I think they must have toasted it too long or something but it was pretty flat and very hard to cut into. It still tasted pretty good though. It must have just been my dish but I saw another person that had ordered the same and they had a nice thick fluffy piece of sourdough :(

My friend ordered the One Pan Fry Up and I admit I got a bit of food envy. This really had nearly everything, and if you didn't want the meat in it you could swap it for baked beans and avocado. I had a few bites of the roasted potatoes with chutney and it was delicious! Next time I go I'd probably order this dish hehe!

Even though I wasn't completely happy with my Eggs Benny, that still won't stop me from going back to Comfort at my Table. The food was still pretty good, the tea was nice, pricing was reasonable and the environment was very relaxing and like the name says, comfortable.

Most brunch places are pretty busy on the weekend, so for this place it's a good idea to book ahead. Also if you happen to have the Brisbane Entertainment Book, there's a voucher for it in there :)

Happy Eating!

Tea and Niceties

Hello!!
Over the past couple of years I've seen so many of my friends post up pictures on Facebook of this high tea place up in Mt Tambourine called Tea and Niceties that I've always wanted to give this place a try. So when one of my friends came up with the idea, of course I said yes!

Tea and Niceties is at 1/21 Southport Avenue, Eagle Heights and took about and hour and a bit to drive to from Brisbane or from the Gold Coast. It's very close to Gallery Walk and The Polish Place. There isn't much of a view from the outside but the interior is just beautiful! Everything from the table settings, chairs, music and even the pink sugar matched perfectly. There was so much attention to detail.

Here's a video I've made on my experience at Tea and Niceties, enjoy!!

The food was delicious and the tea selection was amazing! Pricing is pretty reasonable at $40 per person for the Traditional High Tea or $45 for the Elegant High Tea.

I haven't tried many high tea places, but this is definitely one of the best places I've tried and would love to go back again. Just make sure you make a booking before hand and check their opening times.

Please let me know of any other lovely high tea places I should try :)

Happy Eating!!
